Aggression and fear are a form of communication that requires more than simple obedience to improve. Fear and aggression cannot be “punished” out of the dog. In fact, punishment can make things much worse.
Aggression and fear can result from a lack of socialization as a puppy or a bad experience at any age. There can be medical or genetic reasons too. Always consult your veterinarian to rule out medical issues! Using only force-free methods, we will use counter conditioning, desensitization, shaping and training to reduce the fear and provide lasting results.
Initial Consultation: $125
The initial consultation is critical to determine how to proceed. Because every dog has unique experiences and DNA, an individualized plan will be created based on your dog’s history and temperament testing. We will explore all possible triggers such as humans, dogs, separation, noises or general anxiety. You will have a short and long term strategy to implement.
Behavior Modification Packages:
3 visits – $275
5 visits – $450
10 visits – $900
Packages include one-hour sessions to give you guidance in implementing your customized plan created during the Consultation. As a team we will begin using all techniques necessary to improve the unwanted behaviors. As your pup improves we update the plan always guided by your pup’s needs. Typically scheduled once or twice a week. Success depends on following the plan and can require patience and understanding.
